2011

2011
So the new year is here. I've made two resolutions. 1. Find a job 2. Lose some weight.
I have to say that Christmas was pretty good. My little sister and brother in law gave me their old macbook so I have my own laptop that I can tote around with me for writing and getting on the internet when I want. but so far I've only used it for writing. got quite a few new turtlenecks, some sweaters, some pants, two new purses, new socks, new gloves a thing of jelly beans which is now gone.
On and off the needles
Well mostly finished with Sari Silk Vest for my little sister, hopefully it's now big enough to fit her, I wouldn't look forward to having to make it bigger. have finished one leg warmer for me and have yet to finish the other. also started on a scarf. my after Christmas cold made me wish for a scarf to avoid sore throats.
Behind the wheel
Finished spinning the teal for my sister, though she's given us some yarn for her hat, mom says the teal and the teal and brown would be perfect for a man's sweater though. I still have the red and black to spin up for my True Blood socks.
The Write Life
Got a nice journal at Christmas, mom says its to encourage me to keep writing. so I have been using that while trying to type up parts of a story I have written up on different sheets of paper.
I seem to be in a Jane Austen mood, having watched Pride and Prejudice over a number of times along with Emma. And finished reading Mansfield Park, Wednesday. I blame it on my middle sister's reading choices, having a librarian for a husband she had checked out a sequel to Pride and Prejudice, Mr Darcy's Little Sister by C Allyn Pierson.  I read it Christmas eve night and Early Christmas morning when I couldn't sleep. I had looked into another sequel that I only saw but reading reviews on Amazon I think I'll be happy with Darcy's Sister.
