Well it was a sunny day. I had most everything. Just one quick run to the grocery store for Saran Wrap and was able to do some Kool Aid dyeing.
1 ounce of wool, 8 bottles of water with sport tops, kool aid (seen from top left, grape, blue raspberry lemonade, lemon lime, pink lemonade, either cherry or black cherry?, lemonade, orange and tropical punch) some gloves (unless you want kool aid stained hands) and spray bottle of vinegar.
step 1 cover table with newspaper and saran wrap,
step 2 get wool wet
3. spray wool with kool aid. I also sort of try to work or squish the color in.
4. spray with vinegar
5. wrap
6 I set it out in the sun. Don't have a spare pot for steaming the kool aid in yet. Would like to try building a pizza box solar oven sometime thought.
colors or flavors used this time, grape, raspberry lemonade, and pink lemonade.
On the needles
This last weekend was the Sequim Lavender Festival. So I have been working on knitting some more heart shaped sachets. I use various color schemes in Socks that Rock from Blue Mountain fibers. started one found I had another half way done, tried to finish the other one and ran out of yarn for it but will add what I have.
Mom also sort of volunteered to knit some so I got her some yarn and made a copy of the pattern I use. We went Saturday, looking for some replacement lavender plants and also some smells good. Saw a distilling process, got some smelly soaps, some more dried buds and a cute little pink and purple lavender plant
The Write Life
Camp NaNoWriMo is halfway through and I'm a few thousand away from the 25 k words. But oh well still lots of ideas and I might see about doing a little adding and editing.
